Saturday afternoon Class
on Meditation & Self-Transformation

Designed to introduce newcomers to meditation while putting meditation in the context of a lifestyle of self-enhancement, this course will be held weekly on Saturday afternoons (note there will be some gaps) from 1.30 - 3.15p.m. The course starts on 18 April 2009 and consists of nine lessons.

The course will be held at the Dhammakaya Centre for Buddhist Meditation in Knaphill, Woking, Surrey GU21 2TG.

Teaching is free, however it would be appreciated if you would make a minimum donation of £5.00 each time you attend a session towards the cost of centre upkeep, tea & biscuits.

The meditation course will be led by Ven. Phra Nicholas Thanissaro who is a Thai Buddhist monk of UK origin. He has been a monk for twelve years and has over twenty years of Buddhist experience. He has been giving popular meditation courses in Europe since 1997 and has several TV guest spots, audio CD's, books and book translations to his name.

The course is usually attended by a group of twenty comprising seasoned me ditators and newcomers alike. Each session consists of stretching exercises, a forty-minute guided meditation, a tea-break and a lecture on one of the topics below.No special introduction is given for newcomers who come from the second session onwards. Thus if you wish to commence half way through the course please reserve yourself a 30 minute induction session by selecting 'mid course induction session for Saturday course' choice from the
